About this concept piece

A hydrothermal vent ecosystem painted as a slow-moving living system, not a hazard. Mineral chimneys rise from the trench floor with hot-water haze around the lip, surrounded by small filter feeders, tube-style organisms, and drift particulate that catches the deep-water blue and the chimney orange at the same time.

Vent biomes are the part of an underwater survival map where biology and resource gameplay overlap. The art for these zones tends to lean on density of small organisms rather than on a single hero creature, and this piece follows that approach. It pairs naturally with the volcanic zone piece as a softer, more populated companion image.

Concept-style art inspired by deep-sea biome themes. Not an official Subnautica 2 biome screenshot.
