Two free in-game decorations are tied to the Early Access launch. Both are base building items, not gameplay items. The eligibility rules are different for each.
Originally tied to the May 14 – May 25 launch week purchase window. After the 5 million wishlist milestone, Unknown Worlds opened it to everyone on every platform, regardless of when you buy or first play.
Required watching the official Subnautica Twitch showcase on May 9, 2026 for at least 20 minutes with a logged-in Twitch account. Linked accounts can claim the blueprint inside Subnautica 2 after launch.
The standalone Subnautica 2 base game is not purchasable on the Microsoft Store between May 14 and May 25, 2026. During that window, the only paid Xbox route is the "Subnautica 2 bundle" that packs the Reaper Leviathan Statue. The standalone version returns to the Microsoft Store on May 25.
Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers are not affected. Subnautica 2 is included with the subscription on day one regardless of this bundle arrangement.
