Upgrade to Advanced Batteries and Entangled Power Cells

Higher-capacity power supplies are useful when repeated recharging interrupts exploration. They draw on deeper resource chains, so prepare the battery for the equipment you intend to use and reserve the scarce ingredients before starting another build.

Recipes and construction costs

Each power supply requires two scans to unlock its blueprint; both recipes are then made at the Fabricator. Neither recipe consumes a Basic Battery or ordinary Power Cell. Silver and Gold Ingots are processed materials: each takes three pieces of its raw metal.

Choose the family your equipment accepts

Advanced Battery is the higher-capacity battery option; Entangled Power Cell is the higher-capacity power-cell option. A more expensive power cell is not automatically a replacement for a handheld battery. Open the device’s battery interface and use its accepted family.

Keep the ordinary supply as a spare when making the upgrade. These recipes use separate ingredients rather than consuming the old battery. That gives you a way to carry emergency power while returning the upgraded supply to a charging rotation.

Decide whether the actual problem is capacity, charging access or excessive consumption. A larger cell helps between charges. A base terminal helps reuse cells. For the Tadpole, Engine Efficiency targets power use, and daylight photovoltaic charging has its own environmental conditions.

Make a combined materials list

One of each upgraded supply needs two Conduit Crystals, two Strong Acid, one Silver Ingot, one Gold Ingot and one Troilite. Replace the two ingots with three raw Silver and three raw Gold when writing your gathering list. The Strong Acid ingredients still need to be added if you are crafting it from scratch.

The two power supplies compete for the same Conduit Crystal and Strong Acid stock. Reserve those four shared components before spending either material on another tool, vehicle part or station. Finish the upgrade you actually need for the next trip first.

Use the dedicated Conduit Crystal, Strong Acid and Troilite routes for the uncommon materials. A raw-metal trip alone is not enough to complete either battery. Plan the expedition around its hardest missing ingredient and collect the easy metal on the way back.

Keep the upgrade in a charging rotation

Build the matching Battery Terminal or Power Cell Terminal at a powered base, then use the accepted slot for the supply you are recharging. Confirm charge increases before leaving it unattended. The terminal transfers available base energy; it does not provide a free source of electricity.

Before departure, check the target device display after fitting the new supply. Pack the spare separately from depleted cells so it is easy to identify during an emergency. For a vehicle journey, retain enough charge to return even when a resource stop takes longer than expected.

If repeated charging empties the base reserve, address generation and consumption instead of crafting another battery to cover every cycle. The base-power guide and calculator help distinguish a short charging peak from a persistent energy deficit.
