Subnautica 2 Bug Report Guide
A clean format for reporting launch access problems, crashes, performance issues, co-op failures, Game Pass entitlement questions, reward problems, and Twitch Drops confusion.
Good report: Name the platform, issue category, steps to reproduce, expected result, actual result, and source context. Without those fields, a report is usually just a complaint.
Fields every report should include
These fields make reports comparable across Steam, Epic, Xbox, Game Pass, cloud, and co-op sessions.
Build and timing
Report date, local time, whether it happened before or after the May 14 global unlock, and whether an update was installed.
Issue category
Access, install, crash, performance, co-op, save, reward, Twitch Drops, account linking, or gameplay bug.
Steps to reproduce
The shortest repeatable path from clean launch to the problem. Include menu path, host/guest flow, or store action.
Expected behavior
What should have happened according to the store, official post, menu label, or normal game behavior.
Actual behavior
What happened instead, including error text, disconnect moment, crash point, missing button, or reward state.
System or account context
For PC: CPU, GPU, RAM, OS, driver, storage, resolution, and settings. For rewards: storefront, account link state, and purchase/drop timing.

Most bad troubleshooting starts when access, account, server, performance, and reward problems are mixed together.

- Do not copy another player's full Discord message or private screenshot into a public page.
- Do not present a one-off report as a confirmed bug without a repeat pattern or official note.
- Do not mix reward entitlement, server status, and co-op stability in the same bug category.
