Fragment guide

Wakemaker Fragment Locations

Wakemaker is one of the first movement upgrades worth routing deliberately. Current public-guide coverage points to three Lifepod-relative scans: southeast platform, northwest cliff, and north cavern.

SEO note for players: if you searched "Wake Maker creature," the current useful answer is this fragment route. We are treating Wakemaker as equipment unless the live scanner database proves otherwise.

About 30 m cavern

Wakemaker north cavern outpost

Swim straight north about 125 m from the Lifepod, then descend to the small cavern outpost.

Route order

  1. Start with the north cavern if you are already following early northbound routes from the Lifepod.
  2. Use the southeast platform when you can hold a clean 200 m out-and-back line and still return with oxygen margin.
  3. Finish with the northwest cliffside scan if visibility or predator movement makes the cliff edge harder to read.

Why this tool matters

The Wakemaker is useful because Subnautica 2's early danger is often about exit speed, not combat. If a predator commits to a chase, a faster line back to a biome edge or safe route matters more than trying to fight with the Survival Multitool.

That is why this guide links to predator pages instead of treating the Wakemaker as a creature. Use it as a route-safety upgrade before repeated wreck, resource, or mid-depth trips.
